Founder & Executive Producer
Vee Hill
A creative force. Out-of-the box thinker. Color-er outside the lines. Trail blazer. Pretty funny. That’s how our team would describe Vee.
She’s also the friend who insists on reading the credits at the end of the program and analyzes the camera shots or lighting of the show we just watched. It’s because Vee lives and breathes television production. For over two decades, she has produced, directed, written, edited, casted, and led national television projects for the Montell Williams Show, Chris Rock Show, HBO, NBC, QVC, and other media entities, earning awards and nominations along the way.
Her passion and purpose of storytelling began long before her first job in New York City. She was published in the ninth grade in a nation magazine, she wrote an article telling the stories of young black girls in her community. Her talent for producing and creating goes back even further than that. She produced a dance production in her neighborhood when she was in elementary school. Thankful to her parents who rented the stage for the performances at the local park and then took the entire cast and crew out for pizza afterward.
Vee is also a hands-on leader whose tenacity propels her to continuously learn and grow. She’s played every part behind-the-scenes, from the very beginning of learning hands, she once slept on the floor of her office after spending all night teaching herself how to edit. To producing thousands of hours of national television as an executive producer, Vee has made her mark as a storyteller and producer.
A Philadelphia-area native, Vee commuted to New York City every day for over a decade to work for some of the top media companies in the country. She graduated from the highly regarded communications department at Temple University, where she learned from the best and still remembers the professor who taught her how to look at storytelling differently. She still uses this technique to this day. And it’s central to what she does so well here at Just Stories Media: creating and developing cool stories with cool people in cool places, under budget, on time and with a purpose.
